About Anna Petrova

Anna had an early awareness that her lifelong purpose was to help others. Her education, work and volunteer experiences have paved the way to her current reality, at APS!

While obtaining her BA in Psychology, Anna worked as a Youth Leader, where she recognized her exceptional pull towards “homework hour.” She encountered each students' unique strengths/challenges, and her profound desire to help them. She also volunteered at a school for children with special needs, and spent a year as an undergraduate research assistant in SDSU's Center for Behavioral Teratology. There, she learned more about the unique profiles of strengths and weaknesses that can affect a child academically and socially.

After graduating, she began her first position as a Learning Specialist, developing knowledge of countless programs and techniques for students with learning challenges and/or disabilities. She quickly took on other roles such as Learning Center Director, Lead Clinician, Scheduling Coordinator, and Program Trainer, all while continuing to work with students.

  Since then, Anna has integrated her experiences to create Anna’s Positive Solutions, where children become engaged and empowered, learning to channel their unique intelligence into effective classroom performance. 

Anna has a natural ability to connect with students and make learning fun. She explains difficult concepts in ways that are easy to understand. Kids become more optimistic about their potential for success. See for yourself!
