The STEPS

Anna offers a complimentary .5 hour introductory meeting with parents, either by phone or video call. 

We will mainly discuss the student's challenges and goals. We will also discuss session logistics (when, where) and set up a time for Anna to meet your child. 

After the call, Anna will send intake paperwork which will provide the rest of the information needed for a successful introductory session. 

Option 1- 

Your child will engage in informal testing and tasks intended to determine their  baselines and an academic success plan going forward. 

Option 2-

For an additional fee, a  screening assessment can be administered which includes a report for parents.

The observations and recommendations will be discussed with parents afterwards. We will continue with a set monthly schedule from this point.

Small changes create big results! Anna always celebrates wins with her students, which will be relayed after each session via email. A brief summary will keep parents up-to-date with concepts covered and progress achieved. 

Due to the back-to-back scheduling nature, time to chat after sessions is usually unavailable. Parents are encouraged to reply to the emails or set up an appointment for any follow-up questions.

Anna asks that parents celebrate their child by being extra observant, noticing subtle changes in their child's outlook, confidence, or academic successes. Please share any feedback or observations!

Things to look out for:

-Emerging readers: attempts to decode street signs or menus, taking over read aloud before bed, or making new comments about the book

-Faster or more independent homework completion

-Less dread for school

-Positive self talk or noticeable optimism

-Excitement to see Anna (meaning, excitement to learn!)
