Every Other Thursday at the Franklin Rec Center

Step into a supportive, creative space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions through art journaling. This class is designed to help you gently move past the resistance of the blank page with simple techniques, playful prompts, and a relaxed atmosphere that encourages curiosity rather than perfection. 

Whether you’re seeking self-expression, stress relief, or a new way to connect with yourself, you’ll find room here to create freely and confidently. This is a welcoming environment for all skill levels. We all have something to learn from each other!

Magazines, paper, stickers, letters, quotes, scissors, glue or glue tape, and pens will be provided, but students should bring their own Art Journal (can be empty or a work in progress) and any other supplies they would like such as photos!

Limited spacing available; pre-registration is required. Students must enroll in each class they plan to attend.

Join instructor Anna for a fun class full of collage-making! Using magazines, patterned paper, fabric, and found objects, you’ll learn how to create personal, meaningful works of art—no drawing or painting skills required! This class will cover basic techniques, tips for visual storytelling, and how to bring your ideas to life on paper.

• Learn the basics of collage tools and materials.
• Discover the power of storytelling through photos and journaling.
• Experiment with different embellishments.
• Finish with fully designed framed collage that you can proudly display or gift to a loved one.

Supplies will also be provided by the instructor, but students may bring their own photos, stickers, or magazines if they'd like to.
