Children
APS supports students of all ages.
Anna has extensive training and experience working with students diagnosed with dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, ADHD, nonverbal learning disorder, and autism. A diagnosis is not necessary to seek services.
Anna primarily works with students between 6-16 years old. Please inquire about requests outside of this range.
Adults
An intentional approach is vital to student success; Anna can train parents in techniques that work best for their child's learning style.
Adults seeking foundational math support (for themselves) are also invited to contact us. Anna creates a welcoming environment for anyone looking to overcome their limiting beliefs!
What
educational therapy
Whether your child is struggling in reading, writing, or math, there is an underlying reason behind it. Anna's approach will reveal those challenges and individualize instruction to their unique learning needs. Integrating movement, fun, games, and academia creates an effective learning environment for optimal progress. This observant, optimistic, and engaging style leaves students smiling and eager to learn more.
Homework Specific Support
Is your child struggling to keep up with their classes? As a parent, adding the role of after-school homework helper is not a preferred job. Pass along the work, and allow Anna, an experienced learning specialist, to determine how your child does (and doesn't) learn. She will instruct them 1:1, setting YOU up for success as a parent who can save the fun, patient and best parts of yourselves for time with your kids.
When
General availability
Students usually have sessions 1-3x/week, after school, depending on their level of need.
Scheduling earlier sessions on school minimum-days is encouraged.

Scheduling extra sessions during school breaks is also encouraged, while students have more time and capacity for learning!

WHy
Just falling behind
If your child is just falling behind in school, they may be picking up on coping mechanisms to get by or go unnoticed by teachers and peers. As time passes, a child's self-esteem can suffer as they develop a fixed mindset or embarrassment around asking for help when it feels like it has gone "too far."
Anna's Positive Solutions makes learning fun, builds confidence, and enhances students' optimism and self-worth. Regardless of their age or academic level, Anna meets them where they are, and transforms their core beliefs about what they are actually capable of. Students emit a special radiance when they truly feel smart, and even become excited about the idea of getting ahead.
Losing Hope
As a parent, watching your child struggle in school was (probably) never part of the plan. It can take a difficult toll on the family when valuable time is spent trying to find the right support, receiving buy-in from the child, and waiting to see any progress.
Anna's unique style integrates a child's interests with learning, making learning fun and relieving the resistance a child may have formed around it. Building a trusting relationship early on creates room for flourishing minds and faster progress. If for any reason resistance prevails, a collaborative plan will go into effect to make sure no time is wasted.
